In Automatic Ball Trap (ABT) there is one trap set in the centre of the layout that throws targets faster and at more variable heights and angles. For more please click here
To be eligible to represent any England Clay Target Shooting Team please see England Team Handbook.
Please note that if a shooter has already represented another Country/Team in any discipline:
He/she must have been officially resident in the country he/she wishes to represent for a minimum continual period of one year.
A minimum period of two calendar years would have to elapse in which the member has not shot for any country.

The 2026 ICTSC Automatic Ball Trap Home Countries International Tournament will be held in Ireland - Details to be confirmed.
Below is the process used to decide selection for the England ABT Team for Home International Team matches only (under the jurisdiction of the ICTSC).

For those visiting from outside of the republic, the minimum age for issuing a visitors permit is 16. Unfortunately this means that anyone visiting will need to be 16 in order to obtain a visitors permit. For ROI residents the minimum age is 14 as they would be granted a training permit.
FIREARM PERMITS: As the 2026 ESK HCIT is being held in the Republic of Ireland, firearms permits are required which will take 12 weeks to process . Permits are valid for 12 months.

Step 2
Complete and submit the permit application form using the link above.
Complete pages 1 & 2 only and scan and return the complete form (in a single PDF format file) by email to treasurer@ictsa.ie, along with a scanned copy of your local gun license /permit (again all pages in a single PDF format file).
Important Points
Only one firearm per application.
Applications cannot be processed into the Garda until both paperwork and payment have been received
Please read the above directions with respect to paperwork and follow them exactly. Incorrectly submitted paperwork will result in delays to your permit application.

Junior: A Junior is under the age of 21 on the 1st January in the year of competition
Veteran: A Veteran is 55 or over on the 1st January in the year of competition
Super Veteran: A Super Veteran is 65 or over on the 1st January in the year of competition
