A minimum period of two calendar years would have to elapse in which the member has not shot for any country.

Please read the England Team Handbook for England Team full eligibility rules, link above.

Team Selection Process

Below is the process used to decide selection for the England ABT Team for Home International Team matches only (under the jurisdiction of the ICTSC).

  • There are 4 selection shoots that run between April and July this year. Where these shoots are held is determined by a rota. We also include the English Open ABT as one of the selection shoots.
  • Scores are submitted after the last shoot but the best 3 from 4 scores may only be required to count.
  • Points from high gun of each event are calculated.
  • Shooters with the lowest points go through to represent England.
  • The deadline for submitting these scores is Midnight TBA 2024

ABT Team Size:

  • 12 Seniors
  • 3 Ladies
  • 3 Juniors
  • 3 Veterans
  • 3 Super VeteranS

Category Ages

Home International Events (ICTSC)

Junior:                       A Junior is under the age of 21 on the 1st January in the year of competition

Veteran:                   A Veteran is 55 or over on the 1st January in the year of competition

Super Veteran:       A Super Veteran is 65 or over on the 1st January in the year of competition

England Team Captaincy

  • The Team Captain will be the member with most number of appearances (cpsa) in the specific event’s team, irrespective of category.  If any team member has already been Captain at any time in the past, their appearances will be counted from the year following their last captaincy.
  • In the event of two or more members having the same number of caps, the member with the earliest first team appearance will become Captain.  If there is still a tie, the lowest ORIGINAL CPSA number will determine the captaincy for that year.

Team Manager Information

Dr Rebecca Wockenforth (Beccy) contactable via email - beccywock1@icloud.com

Dr Rebecca Wockenforth took on the role of ABT England Team Manager from 1st January 2023.  Beccy has been a member of the CPSA since 2019 and got into shooting in 2018 when she met and fell in love 😍 and in 2023  married her shooting teacher, 2022 Top Shot Lister, David Lloyd.  Beccy regularly attends and competes in trap competitions across the country and her goal is to shoot for the ABT England Team (no pressure on her shooting teacher then 😊) but in the meantime she will continue to support the England ABT Team in her capacity as Manager.  Beccy is a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant Doctor working for the NHS for 17 years.
