New statutory guidance on firearms licencing
The government has today announced that new statutory guidance on firearms licencing will come in to force on the 1st November. This includes making it mandatory for the medical check to be completed whereas before it was common practice but not mandatory.
The guidance also sets out other areas the police should review including examining an applicant’s social media.
