English Open ABT

head-office

Matt Panter was crowned English Open ABT Champion for 2016 over the weekend of July 30 - 31.

The success at Beverley Clay Target Centre follows his victory in the British Open ABT at Brook Bank in May of this year, making him one of just a handfull of people to have triumphed in both in the same year.

Matt shot 195 ex 200 to tie with Nigel Caves and force a shoot off. In the shoot off, Matt held his nerve to win by two.

Although Ed Ling was unable to compete, his wife kept the family name on the winning register by taking the Ladies Championship. Abbey Ling clawed back a five-shot deficit and moved one target clear of Andrea Louise Swatts to take the title.

Elsewhere, Owen Vining topped the Junior category with 186 ex 200.
