The CPSA are pleased to announce that Ruag, Gulf Coast Clays, Eley Hawk and Starkey Headsets join the ever growing list of sponsors for major championships this year.

Ruag and Eley will both sponsor the English Open English Sporting at West Midlands Shooting Ground, with Eley also supporting the Down the Line Weekend at Bywell. Gulf Coast Clays will sponsor the CPSA World Sportrap at E.J Churchill Shooting Ground with Starkey Headsets supporting all three of the Sporting events this year.

Ruag will be offering a Perazzi High Tech to the champions of the English Open English Sporting, whilst Eley will donate 10,000 cartridges for the winners.

Phil Unwin, Managing Director at RUAG on behalf of Perazzi, said “We are delighted to work with the CPSA and sponsor the English Open Sporting.  Hodnet is undoubtedly one of the best shooting grounds in the country and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue.”

Starkey Headsets will be donating a pair of Pilla glasses to the winner of a prize draw at each of the English Open, British Open and World English Sporting’s.

Tom Starkey said “We are delighted to be sponsoring the CPSA major championships in 2016. We will be attending the English and British Open plus the World Championships to give customers the chance to see all the new lenses before they purchase. We are looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new customers in 2016.”

Eley will also join Blaser as sponsors of the Down the Line Weekend in June.

Eley Hawk Marketing Manager David Thompson said “we are excited to be sponsoring the English Open Sporting as it will be the first time for shooters to try our new Superb Cartridges in fibre and we anticipate this being a good load for Sporting shooters. We look forward to the being in partnership with Blaser and the CPSA for the DTL Weekend as we have just launched a new DTL Gold Cartridge for Trap shooters which we believe will take the market by storm.”

Gulf Coast Clays, the clay shooting ground based in Florida, come in as sponsors of the CPSA World Sportrap, part of the CPSA World English Sporting ‘Festival of Shooting’ at E.J Churchill.

Colin Burrows said “I’m delighted that Gulf Coast Clays is able to sponsor the 2016 World Sportrap competition. With the prestigious set-up that Rob runs at EJ Churchill coupled with CPSA’s expertise it will be a pleasure to bask in the reflected glory that these teams ensure.”

“As the UK’s NSCA rep, I’m very glad to help the CPSA in its aim to make this the best WESP yet and as a US club owner; I’m looking forward to welcoming another strong US team to England. Though as a British shooter, I am confident that they will again meet some serious competition in the home of the sport - though perhaps not from me!”

The CPSA World English Sporting ‘Festival of Shooting’ will also be supported by headline gun sponsor Zoli, Promatic, Gamebore, Blaser, CCI International and Polaris.

CPSA Chief Executive Nick Fellows said “we are delighted to add these businesses to our list of championship sponsors supporting our major championships. With great backing from leading industry partners and high entries numbers already, we are looking forward to a fantastic season of championships.

The English Open will run from May 4 to May 8, with the DTL Weekend covering June 10-12 and the World English Sporting running from June 20 to June 26.
