Results from the 2026 BUCS Championships
Fantastic shooting at the British Universities and College Sport 2026 Championships this past weekend at Eaton Hall, with an impressive 280 entrants competing from universities across the country.
Newcastle University delivered a standout performance on the day, taking both the Overall Team title and the Ladies Team title.
The High Gun title was shared after two shooters finished tied at the top of the leaderboard on 90 targets, Jasper Pearce of Essex University and Ted Pepper of Nottingham.
In the women’s individual category, Bethany Norton of Newcastle University secured Ladies High Gun, adding to Newcastle’s successful weekend.
This year also saw the introduction of a Novice category (50 targets), designed to encourage newer shooters into university competition. The category winners were both from Cambridge University, with Alan Alexei Diaz Morales and Caitlin Fallow taking the honours.
