Paddy Howe 1938 - 2024

general

It is with much sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend and shooting legend Paddy Howe on Wednesday 7th February 2024 aged 85.

Paddy’s shooting career spanned nearly 60 years in which time he represented and captained England and Great Britain Shooting Teams at English Sporting and FITASC Sporting as a Senior, Veteran and later as a Super Veteran. In 1983 at the European FITASC Sporting Championship held in Portugal, Paddy (Seniors) along with his son Robert (Juniors), made history as the first father and son pair to represent Great Britain at FITASC Sporting. He was one of this Country’s and World’s top shots and has won numerous World, European, British, English, Masters, Regional and County titles, and Championships over his shooting career.  Shooting was his passion, and he travelled the World representing his Country accompanied by his loving wife Greta, who was always by his side.

Paddy was a big man with a big personality and was known to many in the shooting world.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

I would like to send my condolences to his wife Greta, his sons Robert and Andrew, daughter- in-laws Julia and Sally and grandchildren Imogen and Henry at this very sad time.

Paddy’s Cremation will be held at St Faiths Crematorium, 75 Manor Road, Horsham St Faiths, Norwich NR10 3LF on Friday 1st March 2024 at 1.30pm.
