British Shooting and CPSA Foundation Programme

British Shooting and the CPSA are delighted to announce the creation of a Foundation Programme to enhance the British Shooting Shotgun talent development system.  The programme aims to provide an opportunity for the next generation of aspiring competition shooters to learn to do the basics exceptionally well.

To help this new generation of shooting athletes realise their potential, British shooting and the CPSA have united in a joint initiative to expand the opportunity for future competition shooters to take part in a structured development programme.  This programme will be coordinated by British Shooting and will be delivered by CPSA qualified Coaches at CPSA Registered and Affiliated shooting grounds.  We are looking for inspiring, dynamic, and enthusiastic CPSA coaches to deliver the Foundation Programme.  If you are passionate about shooting and helping people develop, we would really like to hear from you.  We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic CPSA Level 2 Coaches from all shotgun disciplines.

If you become a Foundation Programme Coach you will be welcomed to a vibrant and supportive British Shooting Pathway team.  You will have full access to the British Shooting Pathway resources and will be encouraged to take advantage of a range of personal and professional development opportunities.  If your application is successful, you will be formally inducted into the Pathway team and will be given an experienced mentor to help you on your coaching journey.

Christian Schofield, the British Shooting Talent Pathway Coordinator said, “we are really excited at the prospect of working with CPSA Coaches to help a new generation of athletes develop their shooting skills.”

John Martin, Chairman of the CPSA said, “This is an exciting opportunity to combine the infrastructure of CPSA Coaches and shooting grounds with the proven British Shooting Talent Pathway programme and dramatically increase the opportunity for shooters to improve their skills.“
