Premier League 2019

general

The gloomy weather forecast didn't put off over 180 shooters from taking part in the 6th leg of the Premier League series at Honesberie Shooting School on Sunday 9th June. Congratulations to Brett Hand who took the High Gun honours with a massive 97 ex 100, just pipping Julian Freeman and Team Southdown's Chris Childerhouse into 2nd & 3rd place respectively with their scores of 96 ex 100 & 95 ex 100.

From a Premier League perspective, huge congratulations to Team Southdown shooter Peter Skillen in C Class who scored 81 to record a 96 with his handicap applied, just one ahead of team mates Chris Childerhouse (AA), Neil Gaff (A) & Daniel King (A) and EJC shooter Brian Hartland (C), Owls Lodge shooter Daniel Vallis (A) & Cambridge shooter Oliver Raymond (B) all on 95 with their respective handicaps applied.

This strong Southdown performance ensured a dominant outing for Team Southdown scoring 932 ex 1,000 from their top ten scores, 33 ahead of Team Cambridge who came in second on 899 ex 1,000 so well done to all!

So after 6 shoots and with the best 5 scores counting, Team Southdown are currently in the lead with 4,521 with Team Cambridge on 4,453 and Team Owls Lodge on 4,449 but there's 4 shoots still to go and only one Promatic Trap up for grabs for the Winning Club so please keep the momentum going as anything can still happen...

Individually, Owls Lodge shooter Neil Lockton still leads the way on 478, just 5 ahead of Southdown's Chris Childerhouse, but Neil's stella form this year has propelled him into AA Class from the 1st June so he's now on a level playing field with Chris for the remainder of the series which should ensure an exciting run in to the final in September!

We now look forward to the next leg in the series at Southdown Gun Club on Sunday 30th June

Please note the new classification period started on the 1st June 2019 so anyone who has changed class will have the handicap for that class applied for the remainder of the series.
