Amber Hill Wins Gold Down Under

Amber Hill rounded off a successful day for English shooters at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation Championships in Australia by claiming gold in the Women's Skeet.

The Championships kicked off on Monday (30 October) at the Belmont Shooting Centre and saw both the men and women getting underway in the Skeet competitions. 

Having qualiffied for the women's final on 66 ex 75, Amber went on to win gold, followed by Chloe Tipple from New Zealand and Australian shooter Aislin Jones in third.

Jack Fairclough sits top of the pile in the Men's Skeet qualification, after shooting a perfect 50 in his first two rounds. The men resume tomorrow, with a further three rounds to follow in qualification. Jack's closest rival is Paul Adams from Australia on 49. Freddie Killander also shooting for England currently lies in 14th place, having shot 42 in his first two rounds.
