Shooting legend Joe Neville received his MBE at Buckingham Palace on May 6.

Joe was awarded the MBE for Services to Competitive Shooting, after an outstanding career as an Olympic Skeet Shooter. He finished fourth in the 1972 Olympic Games, won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games and won the British Grand Prix in the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s!

Since he retired from competitive clay shooting, Joe has been the Great Britain Coach and has worked with many top shooters including Ian Peel, Kevin Gill, Richard Brickell, Sarah Wixey and Caroline Povey. He has also worked with Amber Hill since she took up Olympic Skeet shooting and is looking forward to attending the Rio Olympics with her this summer.

We at the CPSA would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Joe on this much deserved award.
