The CPSA Annual Awards to Return in 2020

events

The CPSA are pleased to announce that the CPSA Awards will return to The Belfry Hotel in Sutton Coldfield on 1 February 2020, and will feature a revamped offering of awards.

We are excited to announce two new awards going forward:

First is our Sports Personality of the Year Award, open to any member or group of members, who have personified what it means to inspire, develop, and grow within our sport. This could be in any facet of the sport, for example: promoting the sport inside and out of the shooting world, club or ground management, coaching or instructing, volunteering on a committee, or developing a new product etc.

Second is our Recognition Award. This award is designed to have its topic changed year on year, to allow for different categories of nominations not already in place to be represented at the Awards. This year the award will be dedicated as the Course Setter Recognition Award, recognising the hard work by an individual to create a memorable shoot in recent years. This could reflect the challenge of setting a major CPSA championship, or a shoot on the international stage, or simply on a challenging Registered-shoot course still on the minds of those who shot it. It considers the course setter's accomplishment in setting a course or courses that challenge the shooter with interesting, technical, and fun targets for our members to enjoy.

The Awards shall retain six of previous awards, including: Clay Shooter of the Year, Coach of the Year, Club/Ground of the Year, Emerging Shooter of the Year, Young Shot of the Year, and Disabled Shooter of the Year.

Award nominations will be going live in October, and Ticket sales in November, please keep an eye on cpsa.co.uk/news and our social media accounts for more information as it is available.
