World Championships 2025 Day One
Day One started with warm sunshine which soon became very warm sunshine and temperatures around 30º, so if you are shooting tomorrow please don't forget hats, sunscreen and maybe an umbrella for shade!
The ground looked perfect for the start of the CPSA World English Sporting at E J Churchill Shooting Ground. Today, we saw the opening round of the main World English Sporting, the opening round of the World Sportrap and the Prelim.
It's our pleasure to welcome shooters from around the World for this festival of shooting with four separate competitions taking place over the week and some of the best shots in the world descending upon Buckinghamshire.
Top scores on the Blue Course were Ross Straker and David Cochrane on 91ex100 with Henry Collins one behind on 90ex100 and on the Red Course, Brett Winstanly, James Attwood and John Lee all scored 90ex100. On the World Sportrap, James Attwood put in a scorching 95ex100 and on the Prelim Sporting, Andy Moon and Martin Myers topped the leaderbaord on 92ex100 - great shooting guys!
We are grateful for the generous support of sponsors Browning, Zoli, Rizzini, Winchester, Eley Cartridges, B&P Cartridges, Swatcom, Schöffel and Le Chameau who have provided guns, cartridges, hearing protection and clothing vouchers respectively as prizes for winners along with addition to the prize fund. We are also grateful for Teague Precision Chokes, Shots & Co, Holts Auctioneers & Laporte for their support of the championships.
