With Dynamic Ladies Shooting Club, we have created a community within the community.  The club has achieved remarkable progress, strengthening its community presence and raising the standard of female shooting in the region. With shooting at the heart of everything we do, we have also created a networking platform for women of all ages and abilities to build friendships and the confidence to embark on their shooting journey, whilst receiving structured tuition.

Through dedication, collaboration and a commitment to championing women in shooting, DLSC has built a strong foundation for continued growth and future success of the sport.

I’m not a national coach or top shot in the country just a bloke who has a real passion for our sport. I’ve been coaching some new shooters in various disciplines and seen them grow through the classes very quickly which I get real satisfaction from but haven’t been able to do as much as I would like due to losing several members of my family and more recently having a stroke but that hasn’t stopped me providing the catering at Southend Gun Club (free cakes for all),  running charity events and generally helping to run Southend GC.

2025 has been a fantastic year for me and Whitehouse farm shooting ground with lots of new people introduced to DTL shooting ages ranging from 12 to 90 years.

My 3 sponsored colts Millie Siggers Darcy Clare and Ellie Hurd between them have won the colts in Essex at single barrel DTL and Double Rise as well as shooting for Essex winning inter county team. I have been appointed Essex DTL coach.

There is a shortage of DTL clubs in Essex especially with Mayland closing next year so it is important and a priority for me to keep introducing new people to our wonderful sport and improving the standard which I intend to do. It is a great honour to be nominated for this award.
