CPSA Training Courses Coordinator

Based in Surrey, the CPSA is actively seeking a full-time team player to administer and coordinate the busy training courses calendar for the Association.

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual with great organisational skills? Reporting to the National Development Manager, we are looking for someone who is hard-working to join our team to co-ordinate our busy calendar of CPSA training courses and any other associated tasks as required.

The Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA) is the National Governing Body for clay target shooting in England. With ‘growth’ at the heart of everything we do, our ambitions mean that the training calendar is flourishing and therefore requires close supervision to ensure we deliver an excellent product.

We are looking for a dynamic and determined individual who can hit the ground running, getting involved with all aspects of sports life. Our courses range from introductory shotgun skills to L2 Coaching courses with approximately 75 courses per annum. They all require an integrated approach across departments to ensure success, so a dynamic team player with great communication skills will thrive in this role. There is occasional weekend work involved in the role.

Key Responsibilities

Liaising with the National Development Manager and the Regional Senior Tutors to:

  • Plan the training calendar
  • Ensure Tutor availability
  • Ensure bookings of appropriate venues
  • Ensure timely supply of appropriate course material and equipment
  • Administer candidate information and enrolment
  • Update website and ensure appropriate copy is published in Pull! magazine each month
  • Administer DBS Checks
  • Ensure appropriate Course mail outs are completed in a timely manner
  • Manage stock of course material and reorder when required
  • Maintain qualification database
  • Handle telephone queries as part of the Head Office support team
  • Deal with membership queries and applications
  • Provide support as necessary and appropriate to other staff and functions of the CPSA in relation to its role as a National Governing Body
  • Other duties as from time to time may be expected, commensurate with the skills, knowledge and experience of the post-holder

Your experience will include:

· Experience of clay pigeon shooting would be an advantage but is not essential.

· Extremely well-organised with the ability to multi-task – you’ll need to be able to juggle many projects or tasks at once.

· Excellent MS Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc).

· Proven experience in maintaining project plans and managing each course from start to finish.

· An understanding of how training courses run and operate.

· Experience of using email and DM, or other channels, to drive awareness of courses and deliver good attendee numbers of the right quality.

· Experience of using content management systems and email software.

· Being creative in problem solving situations.

· Excellent verbal communication skills.

· Experience in social media content development and channel management, including advertising campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn).

· Exceptional attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

· Minimum GCSE standard education, diploma qualification or above preferred (level CIM/IDM).

· Minimum 2 years relevant experience.

· Full driving licence required.
