Hampshire Clubman Classic League 2017

Many congratulations once again to the Wallers Ash Team who have retained their 2016 title and put in a fantastic effort to be crowned 2017 Champions but I'd also like to give special mention to the new team from Three Counties as 2017 Runners Up and to their team member Ethan Dunnweedon as overall High Gun for the series pipping Fareham's Sam Crockford into overall Runner Up by just two clays. Saturday 29th April at Wallers Ash Gun Club  - Congratulations to the Wallers Ash team for a well deserved home win in the first leg and to Matt Richardson for his maximum score of 70 with his handicap applied. Also worthy of mention is Colt Ben Cookson who shot a fantastic 58 scoring 63 in total with his handicap applied. 


Saturday 27th May at Fareham Clay Target Club - Congratulations to the Fareham Team for a well fought home win clawing back most of Wallers Ash's lead from the first leg! Also well done to Fareham's Richard Steeples who top scored today with 56 ex 70 on a testing layout but Wallers Ash's James McGuire and Fareham's John Kitcher both scored 57 with their handicaps applied.


Sunday 18th June at Bramley Clay Club - Congratulations to the Wallers Ash Team once again for a great win and to their shooters Max Evans who top scored (raw score) with 65 ex 70 and Tim Daisley who scored 68 ex 70 with his 5 handicap applied.


Sunday 30th July at Three Counties Clay Shoot - Congratulations to the Three Counties team who took full advantage of their home fixture to secure the top team score of 534 ex 700 and to their shooter Shaun Sherwood for his High Gun score of 62 ex 70. At this penultimate stage, we have Fareham's Sam Crockford and Three Counties' Ethan Dunweedon tied on 228 ex 280 with Wallers shooters Joe Rixon and Dennis Thurgood only 2 behind on 226 ex 280.  


Saturday 9th September at The Spitfire Shoot - Congratulations to the Wallers Ash Team for their winning score of 514 ex 700 and to their shooter Alan Crook who top scored with 60 ex 70 with his handicap applied. To see the full results Click Here


Saturday 30th September at Wallers Ash Gun Club (Trophy Presentation Shoot) 100 Sporting Competition. Shooting can start from 10am with last entry 1pm and shooting must finish by 2pm for the presentations. 


​Saturday 14th October Inter-Clubman superfinal between winners of Hampshire & Kent/Sussex Leagues at Southdown Gun Club  So the superfinal is now confirmed  and it's a repeat of last year with the Willow Farm Team from the K & S League up against Wallers Ash Gun Club from the Hants League. Can Willow Farm do the double or will Wallers Ash take the honours (and the trophy) this year! If anyone from any of the other teams would like to come along and shoot this 100 target layout then please feel free to join us. It's a great day out!!
