Double Trap silver and bronze for French & Parish

Matt French won silver and Rachel Parish bronze at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation championships in Gold Coast today, the event that is being run as an operational test event for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Matt shot 140 to qualify for the finals in second place and, in the final shoot-off, finished just two points behind gold medal winner Ankur Mittal from India. Rachel shot 93 ex 120 to finish two points clear of Linda Pearson from Scotland in the competition, which was won by Australia's Emma Cox. Team England has now won four medals from four events with just Olympic Trap still to go - full results are available here.
