Terry Blaney

National Director

Initially co-opted onto the Board of Directors of the CPSA in May 2002, as a National Director, I was elected for a further one year term in March 2003 and then a three year term in 2004. I was Chairman of The Board from March 2006 to March 2008.

Since joining The Board, I have worked extensively with HQ Management, Staff and fellow Directors, ensuring that there is a consistent and constant focus on the Key Issues that affect the CPSA and its Members. I was also an active member of the Kent CPSA Committee and I continue to attend the meetings of the South East Region Committee.

My early career was in public accounting and then progressed into the life science industry where I worked at the most senior level for a USA headquartered organisation, responsible for establishing and managing their International activities. I moved on to establishing a drug delivery technology company with extensive venture capital funding, (now listed on AIM) and more recently acquired a very successful, specialist technical recruitment business.

I am a Lifetime Member, having joined the CPSA in 1978. My preferred disciplines are English Skeet and Helice. I am totally independent and unbiased in my work for the CPSA. My intention is to ensure that the best interests of the CPSA, its Members and our Sport of Clay Target Shooting are represented at all times.

What is clay shooting?

Clay pigeon shooting is the art of shooting at special flying targets, known as clay pigeons or clay targets, with a shotgun.
