Nominees

Josh Brown Steve Lovatt Jamie Peckham

I am delighted to have been nominated for Course Setter of The Year for the fourth time

I’ve enjoyed setting multiple courses at Barbury Shooting School this year, from our monthly Registered Sporting, Super Sporting and Sportrap competitions to our own Hull Pro One Challenge, The British Masters FITASC & COMPAK, Castellani Cup, Welsh Open Sporting – this list goes on…!

To win this award for a fourth time would mean a lot to me. It would show that I have done my job successfully and created fun, varied and challenging courses for all shooters to enjoy. I believe this is the most important thing when setting a shoot. All of which wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support from my colleagues at Barbury Shooting School whom, in my eyes, help run the best shooting ground in the country.

I’ve had an incredible 2025, setting and running major championship shoots including the CPSA English Open Super Sporting, two Krieghoff Classic Masters events ,and, most notably, The World Championship at the stunning E.J. Churchill’s in July.

Alongside these highlights, I’ve enjoyed creating numerous 100 bird registered shoots week in week out throughout the year, providing memorable experiences for sporting shooters of all levels. I’ve been fortunate to work with some fantastic people this year and am truly grateful to everyone for their support. Sharing my passion for the sport and helping others enjoy top quality shoots continues to be my reward.

Jamie began helping his dad at South Down Gun Club in Sussex at age ten and has since become a respected presence in the clay-shooting world.

Now one of the few official FITASC course designers, he has enjoyed a standout year, contributing to major events including the World FITASC Sporting, US Open Sporting, European FITASC Sporting and the British GP Compak.

His work spans an impressive list of high-level competitions, with a particular highlight being the British Open Sporting at Eaton Hall in August.
