Pre-requisites Minimum of 2 years shooting experience; Have attended an Instructor Development Workshop within the previous 2 years; Have qualified as a Safety Officer with the previous 5 years; Must hold a shotgun certificate
Aim To provide the candidate with the required knowledge, procedures and skills, and to assess their ability, to safely teach beginners how to shoot using the CPSA Method.
Overview Assessment day where the candidate will take part in one off range assessment, three on range assessments and a multiple choice exam.

We recommend the participant has a shooting ability of at least a B Classification, or equivalent, in any discipline, and be able to handle a shotgun safely as demonstrated in the Safety Officers Course.

On receiving a pass in the theory exam and Off Range assessment; and a minimum of two satisfactory practical assessments out of three, the candidate will be awarded the CPSA Academy Instructors certificate and badge.

Individuals that fail the course must attend an IDW before reassessment.
