CLUB AFFILIATION / REGISTRATION FAQs
The Club Affiliation form provided on request is multi purpose and can be used for:
o Affiliating your ground to the CPSA
o Affiliating and registering layouts in one initial application
o Upgrading your ground affiliation
o Registering additional disciplines on existing layouts or moved/changed layouts
Costs
Club membership at an Associated or Affiliated level to the CPSA costs £55-00 per annum and runs from the date of completion of your affiliation application to the same date one year hence.
Being affiliated as a Registered ground costs £115-00 per annum, Premier costs £165 per annum and Premier Plus costs £200-00 PA. or pro rata per month for upgrading within your current membership year.
To Join Your Ground at the Associated or Affiliated Level
This is done by means of self-certification. Please read carefully the notes for your benefit and then complete the form supplying information where requested by the various declarations. The form needs to be signed by both the Club Safety Officer* and the club’s secretary or principal. Return the form together with an Ordnance Survey Plan of the area showing the club’s land boundaries and return it to CPSA HQ along with a cheque for £50-00. Once your application has been processed you will be notified of acceptance or otherwise. The fee will be refunded if the application is not successful.
Safety Officer*
All CPSA grounds are required to have a CPSA qualified Safety Officer (either Club Safety Officer or Senior Safety Officer), present at all shoots. For new applications please name the Safety Officer and quote their CPSA membership number. If you need to have a Safety Officer trained, please contact CPSA HQ for course details. The name and membership number of the appointed CPSA Safety Officer will need to be re-confirmed on each subsequent renewal of club membership.
To Register a Ground [non affiliated]
To affiliate a ground and register one or more layouts at the same time complete the form and enclose £100-00 [or pro-rata *] Registered Club Membership, plus a separate cheque for £120-00 for an inspection. This visit is chargeable to you at the mentioned cost of £120-00 and includes all mileage expenses and the inspection of one layout. Any additional layouts to be inspected shall be charged at £25-00 per layout. All applications for registration will be processed initially at Head Office. Once the initial application has been approved, an inspection will be arranged by HQ via your Regional Senior Safety Officer (SSO). The ground will be contacted directly by the SSO to make the inspection appointment.
* Please note: as Club Registration runs annually from January to December, fees are pro-rata to the unexpired year from the month of approval, i.e. 12 months is £100-00; 6 months is £50-00 etc.
Grounds that fail registration of layout inspections may still meet basic safety requirements and qualify for affiliated status.
To Upgrade an already affiliated Ground
e.g. from Affiliated to Registered, from Registered to Premier, etc. Fill out the form and provide any addition declarations and information not contained in your affiliated details on file at CPSA HQ. Follow procedure as outlined above, amending the amount of the cheque being sent to cover the increase in club membership fees (or pro-rata during the year) appropriately.
To Upgrade a Registered Ground with additional, new or changed layouts.
Fill out the form and provide any addition declarations and information not contained in your affiliated details on file at CPSA HQ. Provide: new maps with new layouts shown, the inspection fee of £120-00 for the first layout to be inspected and £25-00 for each additional layout.
